'~-._ l.._. .. __~_ _.. ~- '_ - ' ~ r~y ~ aFSOr,urronr ~z-z~ i _ WHEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula is the third most populous area in the State; and WHBREAS, the Kenai Peninsula contributes a high percentage of State revenues, and WHEREAS, completion of proposed road improvements to existing projects on the Kenai Peninsula axe o£ utmost importance to the area and the State; and WIiEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula is heavily utilized by sport and commercial fishermen and hunters; and WHEREAS, it is important that Highway and Fish ~, Game personnel lxve near t:hei: wcrk and have local orient~tton in the interest of quality work and efficiency NOW, THEREF~JRE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kenai City Council respectfully urges the Der?rtment of Highways and Department o£ Fish and Game to retain all existing personnel on the Kenai Peninsula and expand the resident staff so as to facilitate completion and satisfaction of the important proposed projects and needs.
