A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONTENT OF THE CITY MANAGER'S LETTER OF 1 SEPTEhIBER, 1972, CONCERNING THE KENAITZE HOUSING PROJECT TO THE FEDERAL HOUSINf, ADMINISTRATION. WHEREAS, the City of Kenai is in full agreement with the Kenaitze Native Housi.ng Project, and; ; WHEREAS, the project will greatly benefit the entire Kenai area, and; WHBREAS, the Kenai City Council approves the City Administration's views ~ in aiding.this project as expressed in the City Manager's letter of ' September 1~ 1972 to the Federal Housing Administration; i ' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE KENAI CITY COUNCIL GIVE FULL SUPPORT ! AND AUTHORIZATION TO THE CITY MANAGER'S LETTER TO THE FEDERAL HOUSING AD- MINISTRATION, DATED SEPTENG3ER 1, 1972 AND, THAT SAID LETTER BE ATTACHED T0, AND MADE A PART OF THIS RESOLUTION. The City of Kenai also agrees that master metering on the utilities is acceptable for this specific subdivision because of the involve~ent itiith the Y.enaitze ~ative Association: The City ndministratian and'City Gauncil has a cammitment to the native psorle of this community in this area for the develop- ment of stan3arJ ho»sin~ ~rl~ich ~aill improve their way of life and make it possible for them to acnuire home o~,rnersiii.p ior a period oi yea~s. ~4e certainly hope that the prograr~, as proposed by the Kenaitze Nati~~e Associatio~;, is acceptable to the Federal Housing Ad- ministration and tl±at a project of this type would certainty be beneficial to the City of Kena•i and to the entire State of Alaska.
