WHEREAS, paragraph 3 01.5 of Personnel Requlation 3, Recruitment- nd Examination, City Persannel Man- ual, reads as follows: "Other qualifications being equal, preference in employment or promotion is qiven to City residents"; and WN"~tEAS, it has been, and fs, traditional Council p~licy that all per annum employees of the City work force shall be required to establish residencg within the City Limits af Kenaif and WH~:REAS, it is the desire of the Kenai City Council that this policy shall be continued in the interest of fairness and equity to all eraployees recruited under former personnel policies; NOW THEREFORE BE IT R~SOLVED that tne Council of tk~e City of Kenai herebys 1. Authorizes an amendment to this personnel regulation so that paragraph 3 01.5 of the referenced Manual shall read as follows: "Other qualifications beiny equal, preference fn employment or promotion is given to City ~' re~~idents.
