THE CITY OF 1CEi~TAI, ALASKA, KES(iLVES:
1. That at the next general election to he Yield in the
City of Kenai, Alaska, the following proposal be submitted to
the qualified voters oa the City of Kenai:
"1'RGPUSAL: 5ha11 the City of Kenai, Alaska, enact an
ordinance ~p~-~iding for a consumers' sales tax not
exceeding ~~~ per centum of the sales price on all
retail sales, on all rents, and on all services made
within the municipality, all proceeds of such tax to
be used only for the purpose of providing funds for
the construction a:1d operation of educational and
public health facilities, and to provide for better-
ment of the schools, and to pay for school obligations,
public health, sanitation and for general revenue, as
authorized by Chapter 124 of the Session Laws of the
State of Alaska, 1960."
2. The City Clerk is directed to prepare ballots clearly
presenting the foregoing proposition as to whether the sales tax
shall be authorized, and setting forth the purposes for which
the revenue derived from such tax is to be used, such ballots to
be prepared for use in the next general election in this City.
