Swans,~n, tfayor of clte City of Kenai, Alaska received a letter dated September 1, 1901 from Dir- ector for Northwest Operations, Housing and Home Finance Agency, indi- cating that: favorable consideration madQ and given to the C;ty of Kenai Fublic [docks planning applications for Project No. P. .~laska 30b2, (Sewage Facilitlas) and Project iJo. P. Alaska 303 (Water Sup- ply and Distribution) and WHEREAS, P.-r. Duct;e's letter asked that the City Council of Kenai give further consideration to ame.•nding each of the above, and WHEREAS, the Alaska StatE~ ~~epartment of Health considers that the City of Kenai is facing an. emergency condition so far as water supply and collection of wastes, concerns the population of Kenai, the ~publ.ic school, the central. b::siness district, the densely populated portion of the City, with possible hazards to the outlyi:~g areas of the City including that por..tion occupied by many persons of Indian descent: NOW THER~ORE B~ IT RESOLVED: 1. We, the City Council, the governing body of the City of Kenai therefore, after due consideration, amend our application for Sewage Facilities known as Housing and Home Finance Project No. 3002 by deleting the final planning thereof and reducing our request to a•n advance of $15, 042.00. 2. We, the City Council, the governing body of the City of Kenai therefore, after due consideration, amend our application for Water Supply and Distribution known as Housing and Hocue Finance Project No. 34b3 by deleting the final planning and reducing the re- quest to $33,794.00. 3. Furthermore, the City Council will take the necessary action to bring about a bond election covering both of the above cited projects at the earliest practicable date after the approval of the planning of both of the projects.
