tdflE'tJ;AS, the ;,ity Council of the ~:.ity of Kenai, Alaska
finds that the health and welfa~:e of the ,;ity will be furthered
by obtaining surplus lands of the State of Alaska as might be
available within the ;ity limits,
t•JHEREAS, the State of Alaska is authorized to grant such
land pursuant to Chapter 168, SLA 1962;
TIIE:ZEFORE, the City ;ouncil of 'K.enai, Alaska resolves:
1. That an application for all surplus state. lands within
the city limits of theCity of Iten ai, Alaska be prepared and for-
warded to the Division of Lands, Depar*ment of I~atucal 'tesources
of the State of Al«ska to secure all such lands as may be available
as of the date of receipt of the application.
2. That the City of I;enai, Alaska would desire to secure
all such lands as may become available to the State of Alaska, and
are surplus lands,wLthin the meaning of Chapter 168, 3LA 1962,
subsequent to the receipt of the application by the City.
3. That the Nayor of the City of I;enai, Alaska be authori-
zed to execute the required letter of application for the surplus
lands available to the City of Kenai, Alaska.
