DECLARATION OF INTENT TO ACCEPT OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT OF AIRPORT
AT KENAI, ALASKA.
WHEREAS, the Kenai Airport Commission has extensively
studied the needs and possibilities of the airport at Kenai, Alaska,
indluding conferences with the Federal Aviation Administration,
Division of Aviation, Department of Public Works of the State of
Alaska; and
WHEREAS, acceptance of the responsibility for the airport
at Kenai can only be undertaken if the operation and maintenance
costs remain reasonably within the possible revenues from said air-
port; and
WHEREAS, preliminary investigation has indicated that
upgrading of the Kenai Airport to a standard of construction per-
mitting a minimum of expense for maintenance and operation is
possible prior to conveyance to the City of Kenai;
THEREFORE, The City Council of Kenai, Alaska resolves:
1. That the City is ready, willing and able to accept,
ownership and management for the airport at Kenai at such time as
the facility has been brought up to standard by paving and other
needed renovating.

2. This declaration is intended as tangible evidence
of the willingness and ability of the City of Kenai, Alaska to
accept the responsibilities for ownership and management of the
Airport at Kenai.
3. That copies of this declaration of intent be distri-
buted to the responsible officials of the Federal Avaiation Admin-
istration, Division of Aviation of the State of Alaska, the
Alaskan Congressional Delegation and such other persons as are
interested in this official policy declaration of the City of
Kenai, Alaska.
