1ZATIFYING ACTION OF T8E BOARD CF EQUALIZATION, ESTABLISHING A RATE
OF REAL PROPERTY TAX LEVY, DESIGNATION OF NU~'ISER OF MILLS UFON EACH
DOLLAR OF ASSESSED REAL PROPERTY AND DECLARATION OF DATE OF
DELINQUBNCY
Whereas, the City of Kenai is authorized by Section S-3 of
its charter to levy property taxes and the procedure for such
~.~ction is set forth in general Ordinance No. 8, as amended,
Now therefore, the Council of the City of Kenai resolves:
1. That real property taxes are hereby levied for 1963
for general municipal and school purposes on all the real property
' assessed in the City of Kenai, Alaska, on the basis of ~ per
cent of the assessed value of said property.
2. That the ntm-ber of mills of tax upon each dollar of
value of assessed real property within the City of Kenai, Alaska,
for general municipal purposes, exclusive of school purposes,
which shall be set forth in Section 3 below, is hereby designated
at the rate of mills.
3. That the number of mills of tax upon each dollar of
value of assessed real property within the Citp of Kenai, Alaska,
for school purposes is hereby fixed at the rate of ~~ mills, said
millage rate shall be in addition to that established herein by
Section 2 for general municipal purposes.
4. The aggregate of said tax levy does not exceed the

limitation specified by AS 29.10.372.
S. All said taxes may be paid in two installments, one
installment for the first half of the tax year, which shall be
due on or before August 1, 1963, and one installment for the last
half of said year, and if the first installment is not paid on
August 1, 1963, the entire tax for the year becomes delinquent
and penalty and interest attach and acrue after said date. If
the first installment is paid when due, the second installment
shall be payable on December 1, 1963, which tax if not paid,
shall be delinquent after such date.
6. Taxes becoming delinquent shall bear such penalties and
interest as are prescribed by law.
7. The actions of the City Council, acting as a Board
of Equalization, to equalize valuations of property assessed
within the City of Kenai, are hereby ratified.
