DECIARATIOI+1 OF INTP.NT 'l0 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOj~
SUPPLY OF POWER TO WIi.UoW00D STATION, ALASKA
W~REAS, the City of Kenai, Alaska, is in the process of
purchasing the Electrical Distribution and Transmission System of
Kenai Power Corporation, and
W~RFAS, pursuant to Order of the Court, effective 10 August,
1963, the City assumed operational responsibility for said electrical
transmission and distribution system; and
W~REAS, it is determined to be in the best interest that the
power contract previously negotiated between Kenai Power Corporation
and the U.S. Army, fora sur~ply of electrical power to Wildwood
Station, Alaska, is mos+c important to the well-being of the electrical
distribution system to be purchased by the City of Kenai.
T~3REFORE, the City Council of the City of Kenai resolves:
1. That the contract for supply of power be executed as soon
as possible.
2. That the City of Kenai agrees to hold harmless the receiver
in any action which may be required to execute the aforedescribed
paragraph.
3. That all of the actions of Mayor James G. Dye, or actions
authorized by him, in connection with securing the aforedescribed
power contract for the use and benefit of the City, be, and the same
are hereby ratified to the extent Chat such actions might have been
set forth specifically and in greater cYatail herein.
