REBUILD SEWARD IMMEDIATELY
' WNf;REAS, Seward, Alaska, is a vital communications terminus
for her sister communities on the Kenai Peninsulas and for all of
interior Alaska, and
WNBREAS, the potential of Seward for economic development
was just beginning to be understood at the time when the community
was devastated by the March 27 earthquake, and

NOW T~REFORE, TIB: COUNCIL OF TBE CITY OF KENAI RESOLVES:
1. That all interested agencies and organizations be urged to
utmost speed in reconstructing all Seward comaatmications and indus-
trial facilities so the community may assume its role in the develop-
went of Alaska and resume its momentum towards full economic develop-
~ meet.

! 2. That Seward terminus is one of the most economical service
~ ports for the Kenai Peninsula.
i 3. That copies of this resolution be forwarded to President
` of the United Staten, Secretary of the Interior, Senators E. L. (Bob)
Bartlett, Ernest Greening and Representative Ralph Rivers, Governor
Egan and all other concerned State and local agencies and organiza-
tions.
