WHEREAS, ti-e City of Kenai has secured certain real prop-
erties in the City of Kenai as a result of foreclosure of tax de-
linquent liens and said real property should properly be returned
to private ownership in order th8t the tax resources of the City
of Kenai will be maintained and development facilitated;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Kenai resolves:
1. That the appropriate off icials of the City of Kenai shall
advertise sale of lands secured through tax foreclosure proceedings
in order that a public sale may re held prior to 1 May, 1965.
2. That real property shall be sold on the basis of highest
responsible bid. "Aighest responsible bid" is defined as ~Y.r..~:;:~
the highest dollar value bid.
3. That this sale shall require offer for purchase of the land
in question to be accomplished by incorporating such offers in sealed
bids delivered or mailed to the City Clerk.
4. That a public opening of the bids in question shall be a-
ccomplished at a regular council meeting or a special council meeting
which has been adequately publicized.
5. That the notice of sale is to include as much information
as possible bidders will be enabled to submit responsible bids.
6. In the event any of the parcels are not purchased at the
public sale, then such parcels shall be sold on a negotiated basis,
pursuant to formal action of the City Council confirming such sale.
7. That the officials authorized to sign the deeds for the City
of Kenai shall be the Mayor and Vice-mayor.
