fY11F.REAS, the City of Kenai requested Federal Aid for the const ruc-
tion of a seaplane basin at the Kenai Airport. and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Agency i~as tentatively allocated
668,750 for the first stage of development of the Kenai Seaplane Basin
project at Kenai, Alaska, assigned Project No. 9-50-104-01, to perform
the following:
"Ace{u ire land-clear zones; const nrct new seaplane
facility including water landing area, turning ba-
sin, float plane parking and entrance road",
WHEREAS, additional to ruing basin wo rk has been rec anmended in-
creasing the estimated total project cost by §22,ODD~ which includes
approximately §14,OOD of Federal Aid, and
WIIBREAS, the development of the seaplane basin is in the best
interests of the public,
NOK TI{EREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the City of
Kona i
1. That the Project Application for a project in the amount
of 6132.000 is approved; and
2. That James tV. Harrison, City Manager, be and he is hereby
authorized to execute said Project Application for the City of Kenai,
and,
3. That James iY. Harrison, City Manager, be and he is hereby
directed to furnish such information as may reasonably be required
by the Federal Aviation Agency in connection with said application,
and
4. That James W. Iarrison, City Manager, be and he is hereby
designated as the authorized representative of the Sponsor for all
communications.
