RESOLUTION NO. 67-2
~ CHANGING REGULATIONS FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE KENAI MUNICIPAL
AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, in 1964 there was adopted a formal set of regulations as
authorized in 29.60.010, Alaska Statutes and Ordinance No. 48, Section
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Kenai; and
WHEREAS, it now appears that these regulations regarding the use of the
Kenai Municipal Airport should be updated; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Kenai to
so update the said regulations ;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY T!iE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI:
1. Section 600.04 6. be changed to read as follows:
"Delinquent bills will have imposed thereon a penalty of eight (8)
percent and both the bill and the penalty shall draw interest at
the rate of eight (8) percent per annum."
2. Section 200.05 G. be added as follows:
"No person shall operate snow traveler type vehicle in the field
area. except in extreme emergency when directed by the Airport
Manager."
3. Section 200.05 F. be added as follows:
Field area, as designated by the Airport Manager, is all of that
area bounder on the east by Willow Street and its extension to
the North boundary of the Airport lands; and otherwise contained
in the area shown as Airport related land on the February 1965
map, (City Number 1004) made by the Alaska State Housing Authority,
or as set by the Airport Manager."
4. Section 700.05 be changed to read as follows:
"All aircraft owners parking aircraft in an area designated by the
Airport Manager will be charged a tie-down fee of E10.00 per
calendar month."
5. Section 300.17 A. bE added as follows:
"The traffic pattern as shown on the Traffic Pattern, Taxi Routes
and Recommended Helicopter Routes Sheet attached hereto and made
a part of the Rules for the Administration of the Kenai Municipal
Airport, shall be observed by the operators of all aircraft using
the Kenai Municipal Airport.
6. That alt changes set out herein shall be effective on the da a of
the enacting of this resolution. '

TRAFFIC PATTERNS, TAXI ROUTES AND RECOMMENDED HELICOPTER ROUTES
THE AIRPORT TRAFFIC PATTERNS FOR THE KENAI MUNICIPAL AIRPORT ARE CONTAINED BELOW. THESE PATTERNS ARE
IN CONFORMANCE WITH FEDERAL AVIATION REGULATIONS, PART 91, AND ARE PUBLISHED TO ASSIST PIWTS USING
THE KENAI AIRPORT TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL AVIATION REGULATIONS. WITH RESPECT TO MINIMUM SAFE ALTITUDES,
SECTION 91.19 OP PART 91 OP THE FEDERAL AVIATION REGULATIONS REQULRES A MINIMUM TRAFFIC PATTERN
ALTITUDE OF S00 FEET ABOVE THE SURFACE IOICEPT WHEN LOWER ALTITUDES ARE NECESSARY POR TAKEOFF OR LANDING.
STRAIGHT-IN APPROACHES ARE NOT PROHIBITED; HOWEVER, IT IS EXPECTED THAT GOOD PILOT JUDCEIO;NT WILL
DICTATE ENTERING THE TRAFFIC PATTERN WHEN OTHER AIRCRAFT ARE OPERATING WITHIN THE TRAFFIC PATTERN.
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT PILOTS OP RADIO-EQUIPPED AIRCRAFT CONTACT THE KENAI PLIGHT SERVICE STATION IN
ORDER TO OBTAIN AIRPORT ADVISORY INFORMATION.
THE HELICOPTER ROUTES SHOWN ARE RECOMMENDED BY THE FEDERAL AVIATION AGENCY FOR USE BY HELICOPTER PILOTS
TO ASSIST THEM IN AVOIDING THE FU1W OF FIXED-WING AIRCRAFT.
THE TAXIING ROUTES SHOWN ARE ESTABLISHED BY THE AIRPORT MPSiACER FOR THE KENAI AIRPORT AND ARE TO BE USED
BY ALL AIRPORT USERS.
