PRESENTATION OF OFFER FOR PURCHASE OF "POL STORAGE FACILITY AT KENAI
ALASKA" REQUESTING TERMS FOR PURCHASE, DESIGNATING INDIVIDUAL CITY AG~:NT
TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE DOCUMEN9'S
WHEREAS, the City of Kenai has been authorized to present 8n
offer for sale oP "POL Storage Facility at Kenai, Alaska" which are
immediately adjacent to other river-front property on the Kenai River,
such property being available from the General Services Administration
oP the United States of America, and
WHEREAS, securing such real property would best Facilitate
development oP the area in question in harmony with the over-all develop-
ment plan Por the City oP Kenai and would permit guiding the development
so as to best avoid damage to the Kenai River mouth environment,
NOW THEREFORJL, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KENAI, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Kenai is authorized to purchase this land by
reason oP the "Charter oP the City oP Kenai, Alaska" which said charter
became effective 20 May 1963, and by reason oP the laws oP the State of
Alaska implementing the Constitution oP the State oP Alaska, permitting
the organization. oP such City which has all legislative powers not pro-
hibited and the purchase oP the proposed real property is not such a
prohibited power.
2. The City requests the purchase be as specified in the offer oP
purchase which is attached hereto and specifically incorporated herein
by reference.
3. That the funds for yearly installment payments oP such purchase
price are available, or will become available, in the regular course oP
business oP the City oP Kenai through general revenues accruing to its
benefit.
4. The person designated to act on behalf oP the City in negotia-
tions and for the acceptance of any documents oP title, or execution of
any security instruments in the event an installment transaction is per-
mitted, shall be the City Manager, James W. Harrison.
5. This offer is subject to the "General Terms Applicable to the
Sale, GSA Form 2041".
