' RESOLUTION Of THE CIT• OF~XENAi, ALASKA, EXPRESSING ITS
APPRECIATION TO THE HONORABLE ERNE ST 6RUENING. UNITEO STATES
SENAtOR FOR ALASKA, FOR HIS EFFORTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITE OF
• KENAi RE6AROIN6 THE KENAI HEALTH CENTER MATTER:
e MHEREAS. the City of Kenai desired to secure the waiver of

~ the reversionary clause in a deed of a piece of land on which
~'
is located the Kenai Health Center, and

~, MHEREAS, it appeared that the only way to secure this was
` through legislation, and
MHEREAS, The Honorable Ernest Gruening, U.S. Senator for Alaska,
through his efforts and the efforts of his staff, we have been
successful in securing such release of said reversionary clause,
thus allowing Kenai to progress•with its plans for development
• of a large commercial center in Kenai as planned;
' NOM THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
' OF KENAI, ALASKA, that
'1. The City of Kenai, through its Mayor and City Council, do
hereby wish to express their sincere appreciation to the said
` ~ Senator Ernest Grueing for his efforts in securing the release
of the reversionary clause in the deed to the Health Center
Property.
` 2. The City of Kenai does express its warmest feel~~iy of
gratitude to the said Senator Ernest Gruening. and to the mem-
! bees of his staff, far their close and conscientious work with
~~ the City of Kenai on every occasion on which this cooperation
~
~ ii has been requested or desired.

3. The City of Kenai does hereby direct that a copy of this

i resolution be spread on the records of the City of Kenai and
` ;~ that copies be sent to news media in the State.
