Kenai Comprehensive Plan
Imagine Kenai 2030
Work Session
Friday, March 29, 2013
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Agenda
I. Call to Order
II. Introduction of Councilors, Commissioners, and Public
III. General - The purpose of this work session is to provide an opportunity for the public to engage
in a conversation with the City Council regarding the draft Comprehensive Plan. In order for as
many individuals to participate as possible and to address as many topics as possible it is
important that questions, comments, and suggestions be limited to a reasonable amount of
time. The Consultant involved in the drafting of the Plan as well as other support staff are
available, at the direction of Council, to respond to technical and/or process questions and
comments.
IV. Work Session Format
A. The draft Comprehensive Plan is divided into six chapters. It appears that the majority of the
discussion may center around Chapter Five and to a lesser degree Chapter Six.
The Chair will identify each sub-chapter in the draft comprehensive plan and ask if anyone
has comments, suggestions, or comments. Public testimony should be concise allowing for
complete consideration of the Plan.
If in the earlier chapters, all of the allotted time is not used that time will be added to the
allotted discussion time for subsequent chapters at the direction of the Chair.
The following is a suggested time allocation for the discussion of each chapter:
210 Fidalgo Avenue, Kenai, Alaska 99611-7794
Telephone: 907-283-7535 / Fax: 907-283-3014
