ROLL CALL Present: Edward Ambarian, Charles Bailie, Dotty Glick, Ron Malston, Vincent O'Reilly Absent: Michael Seaman and Phillip Aber AGENDA APPROVAL -- Approved as distributed B. HEARINGS 1. Ordinance 401-70 Mayor O'Reilly read Ordinance 401-79 by title only. "An ordinance increasing estimated revenues and appropriations In the Capital Project fund entitled "Airport Runway Paving" in the amount of $370,037." 0 There was no public comment. MOTION: Councilman AmbsMan moved, seconded by Councilwoman Glick, for adoption of Ordinance 491-70, increasing revenues/appropriations by$370,037, Airport Runway Paving Project. Motion passed unanimously by roll call vote. C. NEW BUSINESS 1. Change Order - NOI;CON, INC. Mr. {Nice advised that with the adoption of Ordinance 491-79, funds were now appropriated so that the City might include Additive Alternate (slurry seal coat) to the Airport Runway Paving Project. MOTION: __- - Councilman Ambarian moved, seconded by Councilman Railie, for approval of Change Order 1 -- to the NORCON, 111C, contract for 1070 improvements to the Kenai ",tunieipal Airport Runway project in the amount of $303,815, { G,J f Motion passed unanimously by roll eau vote. i I • 4 I I TT - l i SPECIAL MEETING - Page 2 it r)urday, May S, 1970 2. Approval of contract City Manager Wiso advised that though the ordinance has yet to be Approved relative to the installation of luminaries on Willow Street, the State has contacted the City that they must include it as an additive alternate now and should the project be dropped, the City rrsy reject the addition to the project within four (4) days after bid opening. MOTION: Councilman Ambarian moved, seconded by Councilman Bailie, to Authorize the State Department of Highways to include the lamination of willow Street as an additive alternate and allowing the City the opportunity to reject the project after bid opening. Councilwoman Glick stated that she wished it to be very clear that if the City does not wish to continue with project, that it will not be included in the overall project under any air- cumstances.
