CITY OF KENAI
�i CERTIFICATION OF ELECTION OF 10-7-75
PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING
OCTOBER 8, 1075 - 8: 00 P.M.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
1. ROLL CALL
Present: James A. Elson, Edward Ambarian, A. L. Hudson, Richard
Morgan, H . J . Steiner and 0. L . Thomas
Absent: James Doyle
2. CANVASS OF BALLOTS
City Clerk, Sue Peter, presented the challenged and absentee ballots
to Council. Mayor Elson instructed the City Clerk to prepare the challenged ballots
for canvassing.
MOTION:
Councilman Steiner moved, seconded by Councilman Thomas, to individually
review each and every challenged ballot and those being recognized as not
being properly registered in the Kenai precincts to be declared invalid and
those persons to be contacted by the City Clerk to advise them of Council action
and assist in properly registering these Individuals.
Motion passed unanimously by roll call vote.
Council proceeded with the canvass of the challenged ballots and reviewed
each individual challenged ballot. Upon completion of determination of validity
of the ballots, they were opened and a tally taken.
MOTION:
Councilman Steiner moved, seconded by Councilman Ambarian, that four
challenged ballots have been found valid and meet the ariteria as designated in
the charter of the City of Kenai and will, therefore, be subject to the official
tabulation by the City Council and will be included in the final tally of ballots
cast.
Motion passed unanimously by roll call vote.
The Council proceeded with the canvass of the nine absentee ballots cast
and found all persons legally registered in the Kenai precincts. The ballots
i were officially tallied.

MOTION:
Councilman Thomas moved, seconded by Councilman Hudson, for certification
of the results of a canvass of the ballots for the annual election of October 7, 1975
as specified above.
Motion passed unanimously by roll call vote.
The City Clerk was instructed to make public the results of the canvass of
ballots where required.
There being no further business, Mayor Elson adjourned the meeting.
