ROLL CALL: Members present - Robert Norene, H. J. Steiner, Robert
Biel a I nd Mayor C. E. Johnson.
Members absent - James Doyle, A. L. Hudson and Tru McGrady.
Mayor Johnson stated the recount judges met yesterday and
recounted the ballots. The recount showed Edward Ambarian
and George Navarre tied at 218 votes.
Steiner moved and Norene seconded to accept the result of the
recount. The motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.

Mayor Johnson stated the Clerk has put numbers from one to
� ten on small pieces of paper, folded and put in a box top.
The tied candidates will each draw one number and the high
number will be the winner. The numbers were shaken up. Mr.
Navarre drew an 118" and Mr. Ambarian drew a 111011. Councilman
Steiner open the remaining slips and varified the numbers.
Mayor Johnson declared Mr. Ambarian the new Councilman and
stated the new Mayor and Councilmen will be sworn in at the
next meeting on Wednesday, October 9, 1974 at 8:00 P.M. at
the Kenai Library.
MEETING ADJOURNED 12:10 P.M.
