HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-04-28 Council Minutes - Special MeetingA G E N D A SPECIAL MEETING, KENAI CITY COUNCIL APRIL 28, 1972, 3:00 P.M. t A: ROLL CALL G: NEW BUSINESS G - 1: Award of Bid - Sewer Interceptor Lines - WPC-ALASKA-35 G - 2: Resignation - Bob Norene.- Borough Assembly G - 3: Bids - Police Cars i MINUTES, KENAI CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING APRIL 28, 1972 3:00 P.M. - CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE ROLL CALL: Members present - Tru McGrady, Robert Norene, Robert Bielefeld, James Hornaday, and Mayor John Steinbeck. Members absent - James Doyle and Hugh Malone. Hornaday moved and Bielefeld seconded to declare this meeting an emergency, that the public interest required the Council to meet at a short notice. The motion carried unanimously by roll call vote. G: NEW BUSINESS G - 1: Award of Bid - Sewer Interceptor Lines - WPC-ALASKA-35 4`7� Bielefeld moved. -.and McGrady seconded to award the bid of the Sewer Interceptor Lines - WPC-ALASKA-35 to Aspeotis Construction Co.,in the amount of $420,874.60. The motion carried unanimously by roll call vote. G - 2: Resignation - Bob Norene - Borough Assembly Robert Norene turned in his resignation from the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly. Bielefeld moved and Hornaday seconded to accept Mr. Norene's resignation from the Kenai Peninsula Borough. There were no objections and was so ordered. Hornaday moved and Norene seconded to appoint Robert Bielefeld as the City of Kenai's representative to the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly, to replace Robert Norene. The motion carried unanimously by roll call vote. G - 3; Bids - Police Cars The City received 3 bids; Kenai Chrysler Center, Friendly Ford and Alaska Sales. Bielefeld moved and McGrady seconded to accept the bid of Kenai Chrysler Center for two police cars for a total amount of $7,873.66, delivered in Kenai, and to take that amount out of next year's budget.- •�n- 1AAAA- A .
