constructing Kenai Water System."
C. Action certifying that Proposition No. 3,
"Issueing City of Kenai G.O. Bonds in the
amount of $350,000. for the purpose of
constructing Kenai Sewer System.

8:00 P.M. WEDNESDAY, 26 MAY 1971
I. ROLL CALL
Members Present - James Doyle, James Hornaday, Tru
McGrady,K-We'rt Norene, and Vice Mayor Robert Bielefeld.
Members Absent - Hugh Malone $ John Steinbeck
Vice Mayor Bielefeld asked for protest of the blection
results or the handling of the election. There being
none it was recommended to proceed with the canvass.
II. BALLOT CANVASS
1. Challenged Ballots

b. Louis Nissen - accepted
2. Absentee Ballots
a. a e out 2 ballots
b. The 18 absentee ballots received were accepted
by Council.
3. Open Approved Challenged $ Absentee Ballots
The Council proceeded to remove the outside envelopes.
After this was accomplished they removed ballots from
inside envelopes. The ballots were read and tallied.

Vice Mayor Bielefelj read the totals of the propositions

Norene moved and Hornaday seconded to certify the
action of the voters in authorizing the issueing
City of Kenai G. 0. Bonds in the amount of $25,000
for Proposition No. 7 for the purpose of constructing
Kenai Small Boat Harbor. The motion carried unanimously.
Norene moved and Hornaday seconded to certify the
action of the voters in authorizing the issueing
City of Kenai G. 0. Bonds in the amount of $347,449
for Proposition No. 8 for the purpose of constructing
Kenai Street Improvement. The motion carried unanimously.
Norene moved and Hornaday seconded to certify the
action of the voters in authorizing the 1%
Sales Tax for five years to pay for total improvements
only. The motion carried unanimously.
