MINUTES - SPECIAL. MEETING

Members present - Charles Bailie, Robert Bielefeld, Mrs. Florine
McCollum, Hugh Malone and Mayor Eugene Morin; Members absent -
Billy McCann and John Hulien.
Mr. Harrison advised the Council that Gains & Riley would not be
able to do the City's audit this year and someone else should be
hired immediately.
Council will meet with three firms on Monday July 30th to select
someone to do the audit. The firms of Peat Marwick & Mitchell,
Browning & Ellis and Hedla & Sherwood will be at the meeting.
The tabulation of bids for the City's insurance were presented
to Council but no action was taken at this time. This will be
discussed at the Special meeting Monday night.
Mr. Harrison, City Manager presented his resignation to Council
explaining his reason for leaving at this time was due to his wife's
health. His resignation to effective July 25, 1969. Mr. Harrison
advised he would stay longer if necessary in Order to assist the
City in getting a new City Manager. He will send a telegram to the
International City Manager's Assocaition to advertise the position.
Mr. Harrison advised he would follow up on the water situation with
Phillips Petroleum when he returns to Oklahoma regardless of the'
fact that he will no longer be the City Manager. He will continue
to promote Kenai in anyway he can.

a advised that Mr. Seymour had requested that the City
Engineer survey the new ball park so further work could be accomplished.
Mr. Kjelstad will work with Mr. Seymour on this project.
