Goff and Line Materials Industry representative James Debenham,
The City Manager reviewed the bids for line materials; bids were
received from General Electric and from Line Materials Industry; low
bid was from LMI.
There was considerable discussion regarding the merits of each
company. Both are A No. 1, but Goff favored LMI as they had a safety
factor that GE did not. Harrison also favored LMI as materials were
available out of Anchorage or Seattle, while GE's home base is in Rome
New York.
Seaman moved, Meeks seconded, to accept Line Materials Indus-
tries' bid for electric materials for line extensions to Redoubt Terrace
Subdivision. Motion passed unanimously.
