SPECIAL MEETING, KENAI CITY COUNCIL 2:uO p.m. 29 September, 1967
Billy McCann elected Acting Mayor.
Roll Call: Members present - billy McCann, Chester Cone, John Hulien
and Flo McCollum. Members absent: Mayor Dye, Carl Seaman and Bob
Bielefeld.
Also present: City Manager, James W. Harrison. William Merritt,
and Don Hill representing Lathrop Inc.
The purpose of this meeting was to present the Development Plan
of Lathrop Inc. and William Merritt for land use of Fidalgo Subdivision.
Harrison presented his recommendation, which he had presented to
Mayor Dye. Mayor Dye Concurred with Harrison on the following recommen-
dation:
1. Land shall be subject to all the terms of the advertisement.
2. There shall be available at this time the land necessary to
construct the Clinic (K) provided that such clinic shall be
actually started within 60 days from this date and shall -pro -
teed to completion with no construction interruption. In the
event this is not done, such land together with any improve-
ments thenon the said land shall at that time revert to the
City of Kenai.
3. The remaining lands in Fidalgo Subdivision shall be held on
option as other options on Airport Lands until a date not later
than May 15, 1968. Prior to the date of May 15, 1968, said
Lathrop Inc. and Merritt shall have submitted to the City of
Kenai a satisfactory development plan for said land, together
with principals therein, financing plans ans dates on which
construction shall start. In the event this is not done the
land not covered by No. 2, herein, shall revert fully back to
the City of Kenai.
4. Any Land needed before May 15, 1968 , will be surveyed out
and conveyed, on approval of Development Plans.
The above recommendation was also recommended by the Planning and
Zoning Commission with the exception of the construction start with-
in sixty days. This was recommended by Mr. Harrison and Mayor Dye.
After much discussion by Council ,.Motion was made by Mr. Cone to
approve the above recommendation: Seconded by McCollum.
Roll -cell -vote; Motion passed unanimously.
Meeting adjourned 2:47 p.m.
