John Coveyour requested reimbursement for gas for use of his pickun on FAA Survey job. fir. McCann moved, Sires seconded, John charge the gas to the City waen car is used for FAA work. Motion passed. "Mac" McGahan requested executive session for 10 min. re Civil Defense. Mr. McCann moved, Knackstedt seconded, Council hold executive session for 10 min. Motion passed with Morgan dissenting. Council adjourned to Clerk's room and reconvened in few minutes: McCann moved, Sims seconded, the City make a request for five acres in Sec. 36, %2NW41W4, T6V, R12W,S.M. for Civil Defense purposes. !lotion passed. Clarence Marsh requested use of City Cat to repair the bridge on the flats on access route to beach. Fishermen have no way of getting to the beach now. Ile and Mr. Mcjevin will do the work, replacing planks, piling, etc. Lofstedt moved, Knackstedt seconded, to let Don Mc.Vovin use the City Cat to repair the bridge on the flats. !lotion passed. Clerk will inform the insurance agent when the men are at work on this project. Council resolved itself into Board of Equalization to hear petitions re property evaluations. APPEAL RECORD: 1. 11aldo & Ruby Coyle - Mr. Sims moved, Swires seconded, land on Coyle's homestead be re- adjusted to what it was last year. Motion passed. Building was rediced also. Mr. Swires moved, Sims seconded, Coyle's riverfront property be adjusted to $600 an acre. Passed. 2. Hedley 8 Ruth Parsons - Bldg.reduced, no change on land. 3. Zimrie Haworth - nochange. 4. Dale Bondurant - no change. S. Chester Cone - 14.7 acres - land evaluation, $1731.00 6. Jess Nicholas - land set at purchase price. 7. Al Munson - Land reduced to 16t per square foot. 8. iota Steele-Mommsen #1-revised to purchase price; Original - land revised to 124 per squ. ft., bldg. reduced. 9. L.J.Whittington - Bldg. and trailer space remains the same; land reduced for road R.O.W. 10. Lawrence Schachle land valued at $100.00 11. Raymond Krause - no change. 12. V.O. f, Crystal Collins - land the same, reduce house. 13. Lauretta Knackstedt - 4 1/2 acres of high ground at $600.00; 35 1/2 acres @ $25.00. 14. Kenai Bills Club - reduce building, land the same. 15. Alaska State Bank - Building reduced. 16Geneva Armitage - land the same, bldg. deleted; `fir. Morgan moved, Swires seconded, no penalty or interest be charged on Lot 20, 31. 16, Original, Motion passed. Clerk sug- gested tnis is contrary to State law. 17. Morris Killen -(No petition was presented for the record, but Council had seen it previously.) Mommsen #1 Addition - Mr. Morgan moved, Knackstedt seconded, evaluation on lots be revised to equal the sale price, with the provision the City not be bound by this in theovent lots are sold "For $10.00 (or any like arrangement) and other considerations'.'. Motion passed. Mr. Killen will present deeds or bills of sale at next Council meeting. Mr. Sims moved, Knackstedt seconded, Mommsen #2 be included with the homestead (125.12 acres) at $200.00 per acre. Motion passed. There being no oral or written protest re prohibitive practices at the last election, Council moved to accept the decision of the judges. Motion passed.
