Re: Parking Fines
The enfomement of parking regulations at the Kenai Airport is supported by KMC
6.05.010- 050 (attached). As you can see from this regulation, the primary avenue
for enforcement is the impound procedure. Research with other operators of airport
parking lots indicates that a process that incorporates steps prior to impound are
more effective and more accepted by the public.
Does the Airport Commission wish the Administration to pursue a proposal for a
vehicle parking fine schedule specific to airport parking lots and parking areas?

The Honorable John J. Williams
Mayor, City of Kenai
210 Fidalgo Ave. #200
Kenai, Alaska 99611
Dear Mayor Williams,
I would like to again express my gratitude for the hospitality and assistance provided by
the City of Kenai during our recent meeting with the Kenai Runway Safety Action Team.
Of special note was the work of Airport Manager, Rebecca Cronkhite, who hosted the
meeting. She not only assisted in the arrangements for us to use the outstanding PRISM
facility, she assured the attendance of key aviators and airport staff, and participated fully
in the presentations and the discussion of issues. Thanks to her able assistance and
advice, we have a much better understanding Of aviation issues in your community.
My staff and I agree that the City of Kenai is indeed fortunate to employ a manager as
capable and involved as is Ms Cronkhite.
