At 7:20 pm Chairman Quesnel advised the Commissioners there was
not a quorum present. The general consensus of those present was
to have an informal work session for informational purposes.
The Chairman advised the next meeting would be held on February
1, 1988.
Chairman Quesnel asked if the Student Representative Ed Grabaugh
had been notified. Councilman Ackerly would find out if he has
been notified.
The Commissioners discussed the meeting with Mr. Coughenower of
the University of Alaska, which would take place on February 4,
1988 at 7 pm. Chairman Quesnel asked Mr. Kornelis to put a
notice in the paper to contact all those effected by and with
interest in the fishing industry.
Mr. Kornelis will send a letter announcing opening of the harbor
and what is available.
Commissioner Meeks reported on those within the fishing industry
that were notified.
Mr. Kornelis had a drawing of the new sign designed by G.F.
Sherman and the costs. The cost is $85 per square foot, which
would be $3,315 without the posts. This is a double faced,
carved redwood sign, painted, approximately 3' X 12' . Those
present would recommend the purchase of the sign.
