MEETING SUMMARY
ITEM I: CALL TO ORDER & ROLL CALL
Chair Thompson called the meeting to order at approximately 7:15 p.m. Roll was
confirmed as follows:
Commissioners present: P. Morin, G. Foster, A. Poynor, D. Gregory, T. Thompson, R.
Peters
Commissioner absent: B. Osborn
Others present: Parks & Recreation Director R. Frates, Council Member M.
Boyle
A quorum was present.
ITEM 2: AGENDA APPROVAL
The agenda was approved as presented.
ITEM 3: APPROVAL OF MEETING SUMMARY -- September 10, 2007
MOTION:
Commissioner Poynor MOVED to approve the meeting summary of September 10,
2007 and Commissioner Foster SECONDED the motion. There were no objections. SO
ORDERED.
ITEM 4: PERSONS SCHEDULED TO BE HEARD -- None
ITEM 5: OLD BUSINESS -- None
ITEM 6: NEW BUSINESS
6-a. Discussion -- Dip Net Report
Chair Thompson introduced the 2007 Dip Net Report and requested any comments be
brought forward.
Commission comments included:
Enforcement is key to the success of the fishery.
Dock Ramp Attendant could assist with traffic on heavy use days.
• Reader boards for LOADING ONLY and UNLOADING ONLY would
facilitate traffic.
It was recommended other comments, suggestions and recommendations be brought
forth at the November 13th meeting with the Parks and Recreation Commission and the
Kenai Police Department.
YTEM 7: REPORTS
7-a. Director -- Frates noted the harbor had been open later than normal due
to a survey boat operating out of Kenai.
7-b. City Council Liaison -- None.
ITEM 8: COMMISSIONER COMMENTS/QUESTIONS
Peters welcomed Dennis Gregory to the commission; thanked the commission for their
time; and, noted his interest in better signage to protect the bluff.
ITEM 9: PERSONS NOT 5CHEDULED TO BE HEARD
Barry Eldridge, 2679 Bowpicker Lane -- Eldridge suggested action recommendations
from various commissions and committees be highlighted in the council packet, i.e.
separate documents to be included with the minutes and as an informational item.

ITEM 11: ADJOURNMENT
MOTION:
Commissioner Peters MOVED to adjourn and Commissioner Morin SECONDED the
motion. There were no objections. SO ORDERED.
There being no further business before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned at
approximately 7:45 p.m.
