ROLL CALL Present: Swarner, Emery, Heus, Smailey, Turner Absent: Quesnel (excused) Reynolds (unexcused) 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Agenda approved with addition of item 6, Old Business 3. PERSONS PRESENT SCHEDULED TO BE HEARD None 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES of September, 1986 Minutes of September meeting/read and approved as corrected. Corrections: Jail = $7,000 $5,000 books/S2,000 clerical. 6a, Public library grant = $5,000. 6b, ten per average day. 6d, Poster to advertise for volunteers. 8, City personnel classification study 5 . DIRECTOR ' S REPORT a. Interlibrary Loan b. RFP automated library system c. Library Fines MOTION: Commissioner Emery moved to take "fine" motion off table MOTION: Commissioner Emery moved to not change policy which disallows people from working off fines, second VOTE: Carried d. Budget No information on federal/state money available 6. OLD BUSINESS None KENAI ADVISORY LIBRARY COMMISSION November 4, 1986 Page 2 7. NEW BUSINESS November calendar Library hours (Sat 8' 30 - 5'00) MOTION- At the Librarians'suggestion, Commissioner Smalley moved library be opened 8'30 - 5-00 Saturday. Emily will take Wednesday off and be the additional staff person. This will involve no additional cost to the city, seconded by Commissioner Emery. VOTE' Motion carried 8.
