The Comm~,ttee has ordered ~7 wooden plan~er boxe~ for flowers to be
placed throughout the Ci~y. A contraGt r~ith trinity Gree~house is
going to Ct~uncil tomorraw for the f`lowers for the boxes. Trxnity will
put in ~he sail, ~do the planting, ~nd care Qf' the flow~r~ so he will
be able to give a guarant~e. i`~is includes the flowers to be c~rc.ie
plante~d also and total cost is $130fl.

budget for parks improv~ments. Commissioner McComsey as~ed how many
per~ons use the park, Mr. McGillivr~y st~~ed ~hat ~t wvuld ~e used
primarily for ice ~kating in th~ wint~r and while ~here have be~n
problems n~~ having the light, if the light wer~ installe~! quit~ a
few ~ids would be using it.

A letter was sent fram ~r. Multberg thanking t~e par~s department for
getting o~~ th~ equipment an~ sweep~ng the track~ privr to th~ix trac~
meet on 5aturday. The school ha~ been cancerned since the track was
in pretty bad sh~pe, ~he sw~ep~r work~d v~ry well.
T~e Commission noted that the truc~s h~d been mo~ed fr~m ~he ball park
area. A ques~iori arase over sta~ing ~nd survey~ng ~o perh~ps prevent
this in th~ future. Mr. McGilli~ray sa~d he will chec~ w~th the Zand
manager.

th~ issue of the dispasal af this property ta ~~e discretion of the
Planning Cammission, s~c~nded by Commissianer ~iekawitch.

Cammfssion, pointing out that the City is going to have to en~er int~
negotiation wit~ the fed~ral ~overnment f~r ~and of equa~ value ta
trad~. When land was tra~ed far the sewer tr~atme~t pla~t, the ~and
gained for parks wa~ greater than that g~ven due primarily to ~he fact
that the land given wa~ beachfron~ and mare Wa~uable than ~hat at t~e
end af Candlelight/Linwoad.

Mr. McGilli~ray ~xplained the need for the fencing which included the
faGt that children were the primary cancern. Mr. McGillivray noted
the propa~ed test site which is ~n the corner of Main and lst 5treet.
The prablems arise, not ~o much fram the pl~n~ing, but the fact that
they want it f~nced and Qf course zf balls go over the playing fiel~
fence, the players are going to ~ant to ga aft~r them. The par~s
department had planned on seedzng fa~ grass this sum~er.
