Crews are d~vided up into~4 groups; 1 cares for field~, 1 puts in
~ta~lvns at th~ ~'~tnes~ trail ~it is nearly ~~mpleted~; I takes care
of beautification. ~I~ese a~e the best cr~ws Mr. McGillivr~y ha~ had
~hus far. Shorty Johnson has wQrked an th~ cr~w5 for 5 years and is
~uperv~sor.
On~ team heads up ~he summer program at Kenai Elementary, Mike Thamas
is head of ~hat c~ew an~ informed ~he Commissian th~t tt~er~ are 79
registered part~cipant~ at different ~r~grams,
The trash piekup i~ con~inuir~g an a r~gular basa.s. The pa~ks
department has vol~n~eered to provide tr~nsportatian for~ ~hose work~n
~ outside ~he downtawn area. g

has worked with ~ayo in moving the vans on days when games ~r~ going
on. Those drive~~ ~ave no idea o~ what the boundaries ar~.
CommissiQner McComse~ stated that k~e has seen th~se tr~cks h~ball down
l~t and Coral, cutting across a part of the field ~ather than dawn
the Spur and Coral.

A number of participants stated that it was the best canference they
had ever at~ended. ~oth Qregon and W~~hington had battl~d ta i~ave the
conferen+ce in ~h~ir state, There wexe 250 full t~me r~gistrants which
is more than the last ~ conferences. Plus 5~ part ~time registrants
which is also higher than an~ other conferer~ce. Th~ state canference
wiJ.~ be in ~aldez thi~ year.
