Th~zs wi11 be Gvmbined with item b.: Pep~i Hotshat in Anchorage.
The Pepsi Hot~l~o~ was he~d ~ast Saturda~r. Due to th~ fa+ct ~hat there
w~re several games going on at the same ~ime, turnou~ was not very
gaod, plus the fact that ~~yo d~d nat get a schedul~ of activities
ur~til it was too la~e to reschedule, La~t year Sherry aoyle r~on in
Anc~ora~~ and we~t on to S~attle placing in the top 4. Ther~ were 14
en~rie~, mostly young~ters. Paul Lar~dn ~'rom Kenai qualified and a
f~w others.
The first mEeting for city ~eague basketball was conducted and at this
poi~t it appea~~ th~t not as many ~eams will b~ playin~ as last year.
The ~lildwood Prison has asl~ed tv fo~m a b~ske~ball team.
b. Ic~ 5kating Seasor~
Kayo has started flooding the ~p~at r~ear the Chamber Cabin for ice
sl~ating and will be ready in a day or so. The rinks ~t 4th 5t. and
Beaver Creek park wi11 be flooded as saan as th~re is more snow,

The Commissi4n discussed projects ye~ ta be done on ~~rks and ball~
fields. It wa~ noted ~hat bike trails hav~ a slim chance of fundxng
on a state l~vel. The Com~niss~on decided t~ keep this as a~vntinuing
~tem f~r discussion as ct~rrent fund~, budgets, and pro~~cts are
consid~red.
