ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hultberg at 7:21 p.m. Commissioners present were: Hultberg, Oifford, Massie, and Sandahl. Commissioners absent were: Carlson and Seibert. Also present was Parks Director McGillivray. · APPROVAL. OF AOENDA: Hearing no objections, the agenda stood approved. · PERSON SCHEDULED TO BE HEARD: None APPROVe. OF Mi. NUTES OF MAY 12 , 1992; Hearing no objections, minutes as written. Chairman Hultberg approved the e DIRECTOR'S REPORT.:. a · Director McOillivray reported on the sidewalk bids. With a few minor changes, the bids came back at $14,674 and the contract was awarded to Tri-Cities Construction. · OLD BUS!NESS: · a ~ Playground equipment. Commissioners over each of the five bids received. carefully went ACTION TAKEN: SANDAHL MOVED TO RECOMMEND THE COUNCIL APPROVE AND AWARD ITEMS 1, 3, 9, 14 AND 15 TO SITE-LINESi ITEMS 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12., 13 TO AK EDUCATION & RECREATION PRODUCTS; AND ITEM 2 TO ACME PARK & PhAYOROUND. MASSlE SECONDED. MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. 7. NEW BUSINESS: a · Bernie Huss Trail. Discussion regarding vandal ism to the last fitness center site and trash along the trail mainly consisting of packing/construction materials from Cart's Quality Center. It was generally felt that someone from Carr's should be asked to clean up the trash. KEN&I PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION June 11, 1992 - 2 - ACTION TAKEN: SANDAHL MOVED TO RECOMMEND THE COUNCIL APPROACH CARR' S QUALITY CENTER ABOUT PUTTIN~ AN APPROPRIATE BARRIER BETWEEN THE BERNIE HUSS PHYSICAL FITNESS TRAIL AND THE CARR'S PROPERTY LINE. MOTION CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS CONSENT. 7. CORRESPONDENCE: None The Commission will not meet in July unless something comes up requiring them to meet. The next meeting will. be August 11, 1992.
