OLD BUSINESS: Stan McLane ?aas on hand to listen. to a discussion on the priorities of nam~.ng and numbering streets. Fisher made a motion to up;~a.te all city maps necessary to nama.ng and numbering. "Up-dating" f~?.rther defined. as indicating lot lines, existing streets, sub-divisions and major structures. Poppin seconded - passed unanimous~.y. A discussion ensued on naming alb.. streets East of Airport, near the- h~.s~h school, with Alaskan names starting z~rith A, and. all streets West of Airport to have names of trees, starting with A. Fisher moved to have a public hearing concerning naming of the streets. Knackstedt seconded - passed ?.with one dissenting vote from Knackstedt, dissenting not to th? public: hearing but to the renaming of streets already having a name. Hugh Malone eras on hand requesting the Kenai Advisory Commission to lift the exceptions on Resurvey of B.LM Lots 38 and ,39, regarding the ingress and egress and defining of vicinity map an these lots. Minutes of Kenai Advisory Planning & Zoning Commission - August 1?_, 1970 - cont'd Coyle moved to write the T3orough Planning R~ Zoning Commission, under I3ob Norene's signature, asking if they would send a check sheet and staff report with each plat for our. review. Knackstedt seconded - passed unanimously. CoyJ_e moved we ask the City Manager to give tzs a report on +,he status of the tidelands - Has a survey been cc.,:A~leted? ~o we have a patent? Fisher seconded - passed unanimously. (c) Fisher moved ~ti*e pass Shelikof S/D on the condition that every other lot be used until such time as water or sewer a.s availablme. Poppin seconded - passed unanimously. ~inackstedt made a motion fo the City to negotiate with the Ru~;sa.an Orthodox Church in the platting and dedicating of the established public roads in the ?ricinity of the Church Fisher seconded - passed with Fisher dissenting. Knackstedt moved to recommend to the City to take legal action on the re-opening of the roadway that connects the South end of tJalkerlane Frith Beaver] oop Road, Coyle =~eronded - passed eaith Fa_sher abstaining.
