KENAI LIBRARY BOB NORENE - CHAIRMAN ROLL CALL: PRESENT: BOB NORENE, RUBY COYLE, AL CRUVER, JAMES FISHER, LORETTA KNACKSTEDT AND JACK WILIFORD ALSO PRESENT: RED JAYNE5, RON COh4BS, ROBERT BIELEFELD AND SAM BEST ABSENT: NICK POPPIN MINUTES: The Minutes of October 28, 1970 were approved as read. OLD BUSINESS: (a) Deferred until next meeting, November 25, 1970 (b) Deferred until next meeting, November 25, 1970, so a representative from the State i-iiway Depart- ment can be here.. (c) Fisher made a motion to take Item 3 (c), shooting within 2 miles of Kenai Post Office, off the table. Cruver seconded. The motion passed by roll call vote. Fisher moved and Cruver seconded to recommend to Council the prohibiting of shooting center or rim fire cartridges within 2 miles of Kenai Post Office. After much discussion Fisher amended his motion to read - "to recommend to-the Council the prohibiting of shooting center or rim fire cart- ridges with one mile of Kenai Post Office" ass it is in the now existfng Ordinance, "and prohibit shooting within 300 yards of. any publicly main- tained road. The amendment to the motion was sanctioned by the second, Al Cruver. The motion passed by roll call vote. (d) Red Jaytzes presented a suggested Addendum to the Building Code concerning mobile homes. After reading the proposed addendum and the Commission making some changes, additions, and deletions, the City Attorney will draft an Ordinance. The secretary will type up and mail the amended addendum to the Commission and the Council. Page two Minutes of Kenai Advisory Planning ~ Zoning Commission Regular Meeting of November 11, 1970 NEW BUSINESS: (b) Ron Combs asked the Commission to designate certain lands to be set aside for parks and recreation. He will work with Red Jaynes using the City's maps showing City owned lands and bring his ideas and suggestions to the next Planning ~ Zoning meeting for approval of the Commission. (a) Red Jaynes presented his Projects Priority List on improvements to gravel roads, paving, general improvements, buildings, and Airport improvements. The Commission wanted to add to improvements on gravel road and possible paving of Main Street from Kenai Spur to Willow Street. MEETING ADJOURNED 11:55 P.
