ITEM 5: SECRETARY'S REPORT ITEM 6: ADJOURN MINUTES KENAI PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING - JULY 12, 1972 7:00 P.M. - KENAI LIBRARY AL HUDSON - CHAIRMAN ROLL CALL: Members present - Nick Poppin, Jim Elson, Ron Malston, Al Cruver, Ruby Coyle *, and Chairman Al Hudson. * In late. Members absent - Fred Korpinen ITEM 2: APPROVAL OF MINUTES, JUNE 28, 1972 The Minutes of June 28, 1972, were approved as corrected. Page one, next to last sentence, the word "foundation" changed to "structure". Page three, delete paragraph 4 under New Business (a) ~ ITEM 3 OLD BUSINESS (a) Trailers The Commission is waiting for the Adminstraton_to come up with criteria for issuing use permits that they will be able to live with. Mr. Hackney will draft the criteria for the Commission's review. Elson stated perhaps we could use the State's criteria on trailer courts as a guideline. (b) Trading City Lands for Recreational Lots Bruce Massey was to have some information on this but he is in Juneau. There were no objections to deferring this until the next meeting. Coyle in now. Mr. Howell meets the criteria of the Zoning Ordinance on Home Occupations. The Commission informed him of the criteria on signs for home occupations. After some discussion, Poppin moved. and Elson seconded, having met the Zoning Ordinance require- meets, Section 14.5, we recommend that he be allowed to operate his gun shop as a home occupation in accordance with said section. There were no objections and was so ordered. The Secretary was directed to write a letter to the Borough Planning & Zoning Commission concerning this . Subdivision plat - Kenaitze 5/D After reviewing the subdivision plat, Poppin moved and Coyle. seconded to approve the subdivision plat of the Kenaitze Indians subject to the street names being checked against the street naming map. There were no objections and was so ordered. Coyle stated the Commission request from Administration, in writing, if the street naming is kept up to date, if the 5/D plats are checked against the map and who is keeping the cards up to date.
