Members absent - Al Cruver and James Elson. ITEM 2: APPROVAL OF MINUTES, DECEMBER 13, 1972 The Minutes of December 13, 1972, were approved as distributed. ITEM 4: NEW BUSINESS (a) Carolyn Nichols - Home Occur ation Mrs. Nichols stated that as a hobby, she has taught Montessari classes in her home to her two children and four or five others, and she plans to continue to do so. She teaches 22 hours, four mornings a week and is licensed by the Dept. of Education. After reading the Ordinance and some discussion, Korpinen moved and Coyle seconded to recommend this request be approved with the provision Section 14-15 (a) Intent, be complied with and it be under Uses permitted, Day Care Center, with under 10 children and as long as it comes with the covenants of the subdivision. The motion carried by roll call vote. Poppin in now. ITEM 3: OLD BUSINESS (a) Cemetery Mr. Jaynes distributed maps showing the existing cemetery and the proposed expansion. Tract B, F.A.A. has requested we reserve for a localizes site. The existing site is nearly one half used and wasn'_t plotted. The cost of surveying and up grading was discussed. Mr. Jaynes is going to study this and come up with a figure and bring it back to the Commission, January 24, 1972. Closing Comment The newly created Department of Community and Social Services will hold a public hearing on the formation of the Nikiski Borough on Friday, February 23, 1973 at 7:30 P.M. in the Little Theatre in the Kenai High School.
