KENAI PUBLIC LIBRARY } AL HUDSON, CHAIRMAN ITEM I: PUBLIC HEARING, UPDATING OF BOROUGH COMPREHENSIVE PLAN The public hearing of the updating of the Comprehensive Plan was held by Mr. Sam Best, Borough Planning Director. Many suggestions were made by the public. Mr. Best stated that the Borough will submit a rough draft of the plan to the Kenai Planning Commission for their review as soon as it has been completed ITEM 2: ROLL CALL Members present: AI Hudson, Chairman, Ruby Coyle, Rorr Malston. Members Absent: AI Cruver ITEM 3: APPROVAL OF MINUTES, REGULAR MEETING OF JULY 11,1973 The minutes of the July 11 , 1973, regular meeting were approved as typed . ITEM 4: SEATING OF NEW PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBERS New members, James A. Elson and Nels Kjelstad were seated. The term of office for EI son i s unti I January 1 , 1976. Mr. Kjelstad, who took over the seat of Fred Korpinen who resigned, will be in office until January 1, 1974. ITEM 5: OLD BUSINESS There was no old business ITEM 6: NEW BUSINESS (a) . LEASE OF LOT 1 , BLOCK 2, SMALL AIRCRAFT APRON TO ANDY'S FLYING SERVICE. Discussion was held concerning the lease of Lot 1, Block 2, SAA to Andy's Flying Service. A motion was made by Ron Malston and Seconded by Ruby Coyle to approve a temporary use permit, (30 day extendable, not to exceed one year) until proper legal ownership is established, then approval of a lease not to exceed one year from this date. (NOTE: permit rate will reflect the tax rate as would a lease. ) ITEM 7: SECRETARYS REPORT There was no secretarys report meeting adjourned
