Work Session Report
A brief work session on the sign code was held immediately following the regular
Commission meeting. Geocke stated his pleasure with the increase in size for
commercial signs and, in general, thought staff did a good job with the suggested
amendments. Bryson requested some clarification on conservation zone signage and
Bannock stated his concern in regard to Section 14.20.220(x)(3) that allows the city to
erect signs as they deem necessary. He noted, he didn't feel the city should have more
rights than an ordinary citizen. It was suggested Bannock discuss his concerns with
the city attorney.
Kebschull reported she would schedule a public hearing on the issue for the
Commission's first meeting in January.
