ITEM 5: ADJOURN MINUTES KENAI PLANNING ~ ZONING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING -FEBRUARY 27, 1974 7:00 P.M. -CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE RON MALSTON -CHAIRMAN ROLL CALL: Members present - A. L. Hudson, AI Cruver, Jon Nelson and Chairman Ron Malston. Also present -Fred Korpinen and George Navarre Members absent -Ruby Coyle, Jim Elson and Nels Kjelstad ITEM 2: APPROVAL OF MINUTES, FEBRUARY 13, 1974 The Minutes of February 13, 1974 were approved as presented. ITEM 4: NEW BUSINESS (a) Glacier State -Special Use Permit Fred Korpinen wi II present it. George Navarre in at this time. Hudson moved and Nelson seconded to issue a new special use permit to Glacier State for right-of-way between Lot 4 and 5, Block 5, CIIAP to coincide with the lease date of Lot 4, Block 5. This permit may be cancelled by either party upon a six months notice and that Glacier State be authorized to move a city owned quonset but to Lot 4, Block 5 for the sum of $500..000 payable to the City of Kenai. This building will be disposed of upon termination of current lease and if the fence, that is required by the lease, is not installed by October 1, 1974, this special use permit will be revoked and the quonset but will be disposed of or removed immediately outside the city limits at Glacier State's expense.. The motion carried unanimously. (b) R.O.W. Easement H.E.A. The Planning Commission was not clear on exactly what H.E.A. wants or why they have a set back on that lot and why the highway crossing. More discussion to follow. Hudson moved and Nelson seconded that the Commission has an objection to the set back and crossing of the highway and request that H.E.A. come to the Planning Commission and explain the reasons behind this. The motion carried unanimously. MINUTES, KENAI PLANNING ~ ZONING COMMISSION, FEBRUARY 27, 1974 Page two (c) PUBLIC HEARING PETITION OF VACATION OF A PORTION OF 31ST ST. There were no objections. Mr. Navarre advised the Planning Commission that approval has been received for placing airport fencing out to bid. It will be brought up at the next City Council meeting and advertized for bid March 13, 1974 through April 16,1974. There were no objections from the Planning Commission. Nelson moved and Cruver seconded to adjourn: MEETING ADJOURNED 9:30 P.M.
