ITEM 5: ADJOURN MINUTES OF MEETING OF PLANNING COMMISSION ON AUG. 14, 1974 Present: Ron Malston, Nels Kjelstad, Jon Nelson, AI Hudson Absent: Ruby Coyle, All Cruver, Jim Elson Also present: Leo Oberts, John Williams, Roland Lynn Open at 7:10 p. m. Minutes of the last meeting were approved. No old business. New Business: a. Public Hearing - Rezonning and Vacation -Radar Subdivision. John Williams requested the Planning Commission to approve re-zonning the property from suburban residential to light industrial. The land has never been developed; the company which will purchase the property is a large, but unnamed oil company which plans to immediately erect a $200, 000 warehouse and storage yard. The development plan calls for the land to be cleared in the center with an access road from the highway. Trees will screen the developed area on four sides. Moved by Hudson; seconded by Nelson to vacate and rezone the Radar Subdivision from suburban residential to light industrial and that the Borough look into rezonning the areas near the subject property, north of Wildwood Drive, to light industrial. Passed unanimously. b. Request for trailer variance. -Marilyn Scott. Action deferred until Marilyn Scott can appear. Invite Borough Planner to attend the regular meeting of the Kenai Advisory Planning Commission on September 25, 1974 to discuss the Borough Comprehensive Plan and related matters. Meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
