ROLL CALL Present: Ackerly, Fanning, Koerber, O'Reilly, Sandahl, Summers Absent: Brighton, Carter Also Present: Mayor Williams, Janet Loper 2. OLD BUSINESS None 3. NEW BUSINESS a:,,,Birthday.,of,Signing of U.S. Constitution - S~tember 17, 1987 Co-Chairman Fanning informed the Committee of preliminary suggestions for a party which would celebrate the signing of the constitution. The day will be recognized on a national level and would the Committee like to involve Kenai. The Committee agreed. It was noted that the day will be the same as an open house for the new Mt. View Elementary School, however, Committee Member O'Reilly suggested that the open house could be held from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. allowing time for the parents to move to the auditorium. All members of the Committee volunteered jobs which will play key rolls in the celebration, including Mayor Williams. Mayor Williams will make a presentation of the discussion to Council and request $1,000 for expenses. Lists and a sample program/ invitation are attached. 7. COMMITTEE QUESTIONS & COMMENTS None 8.
