CHAIR JEFF TWAIT, PRESIDING MEETING SUMMARY ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER Chair Twait called the meeting to order at approximately 7:00 p.m. 1-a. Kebschull with Attachments (Page 52 of the Kenai Municipal Code) • Memo from City Manager Koch dated 6/ 12/07 MOTION: Commissioner F~illinck MOVED to approve the agenda adding the laydown items provided prior to the start of the meeting. City Planner Kebschull reviewed the staff report included in the packet and recommended approval with recommendations modifying the five foot setback be changed to a six foot setback. Chair Twait opened the meeting for public cornxzaent. There being no comments, the public hearing was closed. MOTION: Commissioner I+~.illinck MOVED to approve PZ07-21 with staff recommendations modifying the five-foot setback be changed to a six-foot setback. Commissioner Romain SECONDED the motion. Discussion -- Central Mixed Use Rezone Staff requested the Commission review the information provided to make sure their recommendations from the May 9, 2007 meeting were addressed. These issues were removing the Central Commercial zone and amending Ordinance No. 14.20.125 related to wording and the Land Use Table. Commission agreed. Kebschull noted a public hearing would be scheduled far the July 11., 2007 meeting and neighboring property owners would be notified. ITEM 6: NEW BUSINESS -- None ITEM 7: PENDING ITEMS -- None ITEM 8: REPORTS 8-a. City Council -- Council Member Ross provided an update and explained the reasoning behind 55 year leases versus 35 yeax leases. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING JUNE 13, 2007 PAGE 4 8-b.
