WHEREAS, the Commission finds the following:
1. The subject property is currently zoned Conservation
2. The present land use plan designation is Conservation/Open Space
3. The proposed zoning district is CG -General Commercial
4. An appropriate public hearing as required was conducted November 12, 200$
5. That the following additional facts have been found to exist:
a. This is the site of the Kenai National Guard Armory.
b. Government buildings require Conditional Use Permits in the Conservation zone.
c. The rezone will provide zoning consistent with present and future use of the parcel.
6. Applicant must comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City
of Kenai that the petitioned REZONING of T5NR11W SEC 6 SEWARD MERIDIAN KN

hereby recommended to the Kenai City Council.
