RESOLUTION NO. PZ 77-9
A RESOLUTION OF THE ADVISORY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF KENAI RECOMMENDING THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY, SPECIFICALLY
LOT 1, SECTION 35, AND LOT 2, SECTION 36, T6N, R12W, SM, BE REZONED
FROM RURAL RESIDENTIAL (RR) TO URBAN RESIDENTIAL (RU).
WHEREAS, there is a shortage of Urban Residential (RU) property
subject to development as multi-family housing in the City of
Kenai, and
WHEREAS, this property lying to the west of the Kenai Spur Highway
in Sections 35 and 36, T6N, R12W, SM, appears economically viable
for development as Urban Residential (RU), and
WHEREAS, such development is deemed a logical growth area for the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Advisory Planning and
Zoning Commission of the City of Kenai, Alaska, that it is hereby
recommended that Lot 1, Block 35, and Lot 2, Block 36, T6N, R12W,
SM, lying west of the Kenai Spur Highway, more particularly
located by the map which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference, be rezoned from Rural Residential (RR) to
Urban Residential (RU).
PASSED by the Advisory Planning and Zoning Commission of the
City of Kenai, Alaska, this day of 1977.
