RESOLUTION N0. PZ83-17
A RESOLUTION OF THE ADVISORY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF KENAI, ALASKA RECOMMENDING AN AMENDMENT TO THE KENAI COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
LAND USE MAP TO THE GENERAL COMMERCIAL CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Kenai is the record owner for lands described as
Gusty Subdivision Addition No. 1; and,
WHEREAS, the referenced lands are classified as Conservancy in the Kenai
Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map; and,
WHEREAS, this property is not subject to severe building constraints
upon which the Conservancy classification is based; and,
WHEREAS, the General Commercial classification is the appropriate designation
in order to provide consistency between the proposed amendment to the Kenai
Municipal District Zoning Map and Kenai Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map; and,
WHEREAS, the Kenai Advisory Planning & Zoning Commission recommended that
the described amendment be initiated and scheduled for public hearing; and,
WHEREAS, the Commission acknowledges that the Kenai Peninsula Borough
Assembly approval is necessary to .effectuate this land use plan amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ADVISORY .PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA,,: that the Commission hereby recommends the
Land Use Plan Amendment for City lands described as Gusty Subdivision
Addition No. 1 to General Commercial classificiation.
