A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
KENAI, ALASKA, RECOMMENDIN T KENAI MUNICIPAL CODE AT KMC
12.25.030(c) BE AMENDED TO AL OW V HICLES OTHERWISE MEETING THE
DEFINITION OF "JUNK VEHICLES" T E OB CURED FROM PUBLIC VIEW.
WHEREAS, KMC 12.25.0 prohibits t e eeping of "junk vehicles, as defined in
KMC 12.25.030(f), within t e ity Ke ;and
WHEREAS, allowing such v i es to be obscured from public view would alleviate the
aesthetic concerns with such ehicles; and
WHEREAS, it is ~n the est interest of the City of Kenai to allow such vehicles to be
obscured from p lic iew;
NOW, TH EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION
OF THE CI OF KENAI, ALASKA, THAT THE COMMISSION RECOMMENDS TO THE
C U IL O THE CITY OF KENAI THAT KMC 12.25.030(c) BE AMENDED AS

1 .25.030 Leaving of junked or illegally parked vehicles.
(c) No person in charge or control of any property within the City,
whether as owner, tenant, occupant, lessee, or otherwise, shall allow any
junked vehicle to remain on such property longer than seventy-two (72)
hours; and no person shall leave any such vehicle on any property within
the City for a longer time than seventy- two (72) hours; except that this
ordinance shall not apply with regard to a vehicle in an enclosed building
or obscured from ublic view; a vehicle on the premises of a business
enterprise operated in a lawful place and manner, when necessary to the
operation of such business enterprise; ar a vehicle in an appropriate
storage place ar depository maintained in a lawful place and manner by
the City.
