Bob Frates
Parks Recreation Director
City of Kenai
Dear Mr Frates
Re: Kenai Boat Launch Ramp Planks Replacement
As you are aware, we were unable to complete the Kenai Boat Launch Ramp
Plank Replacement project due to the unseasonably high water levels in the
Kenai River as a result of the rain and unforeseen release of water from
Skilak Glacier Lake. Water levels in the Kenai River did not recede enough
for us to access the concrete ramps.
We are requesting to postpone this project until the minus tides of the week
of May 10, 2010. We anticipate that with the low water levels in the Kenai
River at that time of year, in conjunction with the minus tides scheduled for
that week, installation for the Kenai Boat Launch ramps would be
unimpeded.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
Sincerely
u
Gary Knopp
