RE: Public Survey Results
Thanks to a generous grant from the Rasmussen Foundation, the Kenai Convention
Visitors Bureau (KCVB) conducted a visitor and local visitor public survey, in
conjunction with 30 other small Alaskan museums and the American Association of State
and Local History. One hundred visitors to the Kenai Visitors Cultural Center were
surveyed in December 2007 and another one hundred visitors were surveyed in July
2008. The findings are impressive and tilt pleases Council we would like to
present them in greater detail at a future date. Briefly, visitors gave the Center
highest ratings as a well -kept facility; People valued their experience; Visitors would
highly recommend the Center to others to visit; Visitors felt welcomed by staff and
volunteers; 94 stated they would probably make a return visit. The extensive survey
information we received, shows how much visitors and area residents alike enjoy and
value the cultural experiences and exhibits on display at the Center throughout the year
and plan to pay a return visit.
