HomeMy WebLinkAbout2008-10-07 Memorandum - SurveyDate: Tuesday, October 7, 2008 To: Mayor Pat Porter, Kenai City Council and City Manager Rick Koch From: Kenai Convention Visitors Bureaus' Board of Directors RE: Public Survey Results Thanks to a generous grant from the Rasmussen Foundation, the Kenai Convention Visitors Bureau (KCVB) conducted a visitor and local visitor public survey, in conjunction with 30 other small Alaskan museums and the American Association of State and Local History. One hundred visitors to the Kenai Visitors Cultural Center were surveyed in December 2007 and another one hundred visitors were surveyed in July 2008. The findings are impressive and tilt pleases Council we would like to present them in greater detail at a future date. Briefly, visitors gave the Center highest ratings as a well -kept facility; People valued their experience; Visitors would highly recommend the Center to others to visit; Visitors felt welcomed by staff and volunteers; 94 stated they would probably make a return visit. The extensive survey information we received, shows how much visitors and area residents alike enjoy and value the cultural experiences and exhibits on display at the Center throughout the year and plan to pay a return visit.
