ITEM 5: SECRETARY'S REPORT ITEM 6: ADJOURN MINUTES KENAI ADVISORY PLANNING ZONING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 12, 1970 BOB NORENE CHAIRMAN ROLL CALL: PRESENT BOB NORENE, AL CRUVER, JAMES FISHER. NICK POPPIN RUBY COYLE, LORETTA KNACKSTEDT ALSO PRESENT: STAN MC LANE, LUKE CARO, HUGH MALONE .ABSENT! JACK WILIFORD MINUTES: Minutes of Regular meeting of July 22, 1970 were approved .cs read. OLD BUSINESS: NEW BUSINESS: (b) Stan McLane was on hand to listen to a discussion on the priorities of naming and numbering streets. Fisher made a motion to update all city maps necessary to naming and numbering. "Up- dating" further defined as indicating lot lines, existing streets, sub divisions and major structures. Poppin seconded passed unanimously. A discussion ensued on naming all,. streets East of Airport, near the high school, with Alaskan names starting with A, and all streets West of Airport to have names of trees, starting with A. Fisher moved to have a public hearing concerning naming of the streets. Knackstedt seconded passed with one dissenting vote from Knackstedt, dissenting not to the public hearing but to the renaming of streets already having a name. Hugh Malone s on hand requesting the Kenai Advisory Commission to lift the exceptions on Resurvey of BLM Lots 38 and 39, regarding the ingress and egress and defining of vicinity map on these lots. Fisher moved to do so with Malone showing existing roads on the plat as it joins the properties in question. Cruver seconded passed with Knackstedt dissenting. Luke Caro Was on hand requesting approval for putting up a Cyclone Fence on Lot 13 Aleyseka S/D to close in urr ightly material. Coyle moved to authorize the buiidin of he fence. Fisher seconded. passed with Fisher abstaining. (a) Coyle made a motion to approve Water. lun.d Teo S/D as it is. Gruver. seconded passed unanimously. Minutes of Kenai Advisory Planning Zoning Commission August 12, 1970 cont'd (0) Coyle moved to write the Borough Planning Zoning Commission, under Bob Norene's signature, asking if they would send a check sheet and staff report with each plat for our. review. Knackstedt seconded passed unanimously. Coyle moved we ask the City Manager to give us a report on the status of the tidelands Has a survey been cr -r feted? Do we have a patent? Fisher seconded passed unanimously. Fisher moved We pass Shelikof S/D on the condition that every other lot be used until such time as water or sewer is available. Poppin seconded passed unanimously. Knackstedt made a motion fo the City to negotiate with the Russian Orthodox Church in the platting and dedicating of the established public roads in the vicinity of the Church. Fisher seconded passed with Fisher dissenting. Knackstedt moved to recommend to the City to take legal action on the re-opening of the roadway that connects the South end of Walkerlane with Beaverloop Road. Coyle seconded passed with Fisher abstaining. MEETING ADJOURNED AT 10:10 P. M.
